BACCN Conference 2019
LINET UK was proud to be the main partner for the 34th Annual British Association of Critical Care Nurses Conference (BACCN) which took place in Edinburgh, Scotland during September.
The BACCN Conference is a premier clinical education program, providing high-acuity and critical care practitioners with diverse sessions and numerous continuing professional education hours. BACCN Conferences feature the latest advances in evidence-based practice, technology, and healthcare delivery.
The theme of this year’s conference was “Moral Courage: Meeting the Challenges of a Contemporary Healthcare System”. Linda Monk, who leads the nursing team at University Hospital Southampton, demonstrated ways to meet these challenges through her lecture on behalf of LINET entitled “LINET Lateral Rotation beds in Neuro Intensive Care – Staff Benefits”.
LINET UK provided a Multicare bed equipped with a Virtuoso mattress along with an Eleganza 4 bed for demonstration purposes. Vicky Walker, Clinical Manager, and Jennifer Sherman, Clinical Specialist from LINET UK were at the booth as well as Martin Davies, Regional Account Manager. They presented LINET intensive care solutions and answered questions from the 350 critical care nurses who attended this event.
It is also important to mention that Vicky Walker and Jeannette Wallace - Account Manager, cooperated with University Hospital Southampton in a long-term study they performed on the effectiveness of LINET beds. The results were excellent and when they are finalized, they will be published in a future edition of Comfort.
