Designs for patients ranging from newborns to teenagers – that is what the paediatric portfolio of the LINET Group has in store for visitors to the EAPS, the 7th Congress of the European Academy of Paediatric Societies in Paris. The LINET beds with a unique "bear" design present a pleasant environment for a hospital stay and professional childcare equipment.
"Despite all the care, the hospital stay tends to be stressful for children, and that is why Tom the Bear, whose drawings are part of our bed design, was created. Thanks to the presence of the bears, the functional and sophisticated products become a natural part of the child's world and the staff appreciates the positive atmosphere that is spread by the bear," says Michaela Domerecká, Brand Manager of LINET Group for paediatric solutions.
The story of Tom the Bear accompanies children during their stay in the hospital, not only on the beds, but also thanks to the fairy tale book (colouring book) and the Tom the Bear song. Plush toys, crayons and inflatable balloons are prepared for children. Karolína Shipstead, whom you can meet in person at the LINET booth in Paris, is the author of the whole concept. In addition to the professional presentations of the sophisticated functions of the children's beds, visitors can participate in an art competition and draw on iPads with Karolína. The winner receives one of the iPads, and a small gift is prepared for everyone who participates.
The flagship product of the LINET paediatric solution is a bed with the same name as the bear – TOM 2. It has transparent bed ends with the original motifs of the bear hero. The cheerful illustrations have a positive effect on the mood of small patients. At the same time, the transparent bed ends allow the children to be in contact with the surrounding area, and the staff has a perfect view of the situation on the bed. The electric positioning and telescopic side rail concept for safety and excellent access to the patient complement the specific details for the use of the beds in intensive care, such as the Trendelenburg anti-shock position, removable bed ends, integrated telescopic IV field and manual CPR. The Smart Junior bed is maximally functional and, at the same time, structurally adapted to the physical constitution of children. For another age category, LINET has developed the special Junior Kit, which adapts the standard bed for the safe stay of teenagers. The last stone of the mosaic fits in right at the beginning - the mobile, positionable and safe newborn bed MiMi is designed for comfortable care for newborns up to 3 months of age.
